Removals quote -- quite a difference in estimated cubic feet

I've got 3 quotes so far, with one coming in on Monday from Robinsons.

So far, they're:
- Crown Relocations: £3989 for 629 cubic feet (approx 6.35/cubic foot)
- John Mason: £3160 for 529 cubic feet (5.97/cubic foot)
- Anglo Pacific: £3290 for 544 cubic feet (6.05/cubic foot)

I was leaning towards Crown because it's the same company end-to-end and because their storage facilities aren't too far away from us on the other end, so we could pop down and get a few boxes out while we wait to be in permanent housing but they're both the most expensive per cubic foot and in terms of estimated volume. Do companies often vary this wildly in their estimations? And if they overestimate will I get a bill for less at the end or does it not work that way?
