Top Gear USA - on the History Channel?!?

Postby DaiSpy » Wed Oct 27, 2010 9:42 pm

In case you missed it, CBS 60 Minutes profiled Top Gear over the weekend. Checking out the additional footage (found here) it says that a an American version of Top Gear will be coming to the History Channel this November.

I was watching BBC America the other day, and there was an advert for...wait for it...an uncut episode of Top Gear! In fact it will be on at 9pm tonight...and ending at 10:20pm. Ah if only we had cable at home...

Joanna, I was wondering if any of the episodes were edited. Jezza isn't the most American friendly person on the planet, is he? I know he takes the p out of most everyone but was wondering how his outspokeness was received over there...lol.

I think that *maybe* they are now starting to air all the new ones uncut. Before, they edited them to fit into an hour with commercials. I expect they cut out the segments which were either too shocking or were very British. Of course, they beep out all the swear words.

As rubbish as I find most programs are on most of the BBC channels, I will totally miss viewing a show with no interruptions.

TV's pretty expensive over here. We just have whatever is broadcast over the air, and then we can use the huge amount of money we save to buy the boxsets of the TV shows we really love...and watch them without adverts.

I use the box too, works fine in AZ. :)

Be careful who you give those invites to, if they break the rules you can find yourself banned too. :(
