Kel, you might have reckoned Burlington VA to be on the list because in previous years it has been. Its been like, the NUMBER ONE place to live in the USA for ages and ages. I have a couple cousins that live up there and they say it's fabulous. Gorgeous weather, lots of good food and shopping, very metropolitain, university town, great arts community etc. Id love to visit there someday.
I can comment on a lot of the places in the West section...
1 Plano, TX - Not far from South Fork of Dallas fame.
2 Anaheim, CA - Not actually that nice unless you dont mind the horrible traffic for disneyland and universal studios.
3 Scottsdale, AZ - Supposed to be fantastic! Le Cordon Bleu has a culinary school there. Would love to live!
4 Santa Rosa, CA - Nice
5 Irvine, CA - Woodsy
6 Orange, CA - Running out of money!
7 Santa Clarita, CA - Nice
8 Thousand Oaks, CA - Vey vey POSH!
9 Fremont, CA - eeeugh. No thanks.
13 Anchorage, AK - Ive heard alaska is fantastic! never been but sure would like to go.
1 Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Vey nice.
3 San Clemente, CA - Lived there for a while. VERY VERY nice and very posh. Aveergae house price is inexcess of half a million as most of them sit on cliffs overlooking the ocean. Will try and drum up a picture from my place for ya.
5 Carlsbad, CA - Lived here too when I was a kid. Nice place.
6 Laguna Niguel, CA - Aunt and uncle lived here. Not too bad. Next door to San Clemente.
7 Danville, CA - Cousins live here... they are VERY well off. Have to be to afford the houses. I'll never live there.
9 Dublin, CA - Lived here too! Went to HS there actually. Very nice place, loved it a lot! Lots of nice people.
10 Pleasanton, CA - Next door to Dublin, next town over. Again - really nice.
12 San Ramon, CA - This is on the OTHER side of Dublin. Again, really nice.
13 Livermore, CA - Not far from Dublin. Like on the other side of Pleasanton I think. Got my bike from there! lol
14 Mission Viejo, CA - Mom lived here for a while. Very very nice. Next town over from San Clemente.
16 The Woodlands, TX - Step dad works here and he and mom aspire to live in the woodlands. They like it, I dont. Kinda woodsy. Its on the north side of Houston.
18 Sugar Land, TX - I LIVE HERE!! Woo hoo! Its a nice place and you do become fond of it but the houses are fake posh. Wouldnt buy here but it has great links to Down Town Houston. This is on the south side of houston.
Looks like Ive lived loads of places on this list! lol
