Can you buy a house in cash in the US from the UK?

How would it work? How to you give them the money? My family could view houses for us and we're NOT picky after living in this council flat for 5 years. Did I say TINY council flat? Anyway, is it doable? We're planning on saving up loads of money in the next 5 years.

We paid cash for our home in Nevada. Used the profits from the sale of the home in the UK. Outside of dealing with the Offshore bank, was pretty cut and dried.
